A History That Dates Back Decades

After World War II ended, Gordon Bronleewe came home to Oregon and bought the business he’d worked at when he was in high school. Gordon, his family, and a team of craftsmen then spent the next 50+ years building up Oregon Memorials, which would be known later as OM Stone.

Gordon’s business became wholesale-only, and he expanded the company to cover five states. In 1985, a new division was created to handle granite and marble in both residential and commercial projects. Projects included the Bonneville Power Building and the lettering of the Portland Vietnam War Memorial. By the late 1980s, OM Stone had also ventured in public art, completing projects at the Waterfront Children’s Park and Penn Station in New York and many more.

Our memorial company continues to grow and incorporate new technology. We’re a leader in stone art, monuments, and memorials. Highlights of our company and its history include:

  • We expanded into residential and commercial stonework in the 1980s.
